I'm 4 months post bl + ba 350 mod plus submuscular. Worried the implant is too high or my breasts weren't lifted enough. They aren't too hard just feels like a bit of tightness and swelling at the top. Should I be worried or will they continue to drop into a more desirable position? I did ask my surgeon for a tear drop shape..
Answer: Your implants may still be in the process of “dropping” into place. Thank you for your question and photos. At 4-months post-op, it’s not uncommon for the implants to still be riding a bit high. For some women, it takes up to 1 year for the implants to fully “drop” into place. This is because your muscle, tissue and skin needs to gradually accommodate the implants, which can take some time. However, if your results don’t improve in a couple more months, you may wish to follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: You're correct in your preceptions and if shaped textured implants were used, they are more challenging to get them to 'drop and fluff' so you should be talking to your surgeon about concerns and your surgeon should be thinking of whether there are interventions that can be started to try to minimize the chances you will have to have a surgical revision. Your surgeon should be very motivated to help you get the best outcome possible and should be your resource for things you can do to help get the result you want.
