I'm 4 months post bl + ba 350 mod plus submuscular. Worried the implant is too high or my breasts weren't lifted enough. They aren't too hard just feels like a bit of tightness and swelling at the top. Should I be worried or will they continue to drop into a more desirable position? I did ask my surgeon for a tear drop shape..
Answer: Breast lift At this point the implants should have fallen into place and the shape of your breasts should be better, therefore I would first discuss this with your surgeon and then seek other board certified plastic surgeons to see you and evaluate you in person. Good Luck

Answer: Concerned my breasts aren't lifted enough/implant is too high. Should the shape improve over time? Thank you for your pictures and questions. It seems like from the pictures that your lift has been adequate but the implants are still sitting high. This may settle with time and could be aided by wearing a compression strap but you should discuss this with your surgeon. I would advise waiting until at least 6 months to consider discussing revisions with your surgeon.Hope this helps!

Answer: Will my breast implants drop Dear GymJunkie94,Dropping of implants is a part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.Your surgery was four months ago so it is unlikely that there will be significant change in the shape of your breasts. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Your implants may still be in the process of “dropping” into place. Thank you for your question and photos. At 4-months post-op, it’s not uncommon for the implants to still be riding a bit high. For some women, it takes up to 1 year for the implants to fully “drop” into place. This is because your muscle, tissue and skin needs to gradually accommodate the implants, which can take some time. However, if your results don’t improve in a couple more months, you may wish to follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: You're correct in your preceptions and if shaped textured implants were used, they are more challenging to get them to 'drop and fluff' so you should be talking to your surgeon about concerns and your surgeon should be thinking of whether there are interventions that can be started to try to minimize the chances you will have to have a surgical revision. Your surgeon should be very motivated to help you get the best outcome possible and should be your resource for things you can do to help get the result you want.
