Worsened lip incompetency after chin augmentation, how soon can I remove/replace it?

I got a silicone chin implant (6mm) three weeks ago intrabucal via, prior to that I already had some lip incompetancy, I had to manually close my lips but I had no problem doing so, after placing the implant I have a really hard time closing my lips (my lower lip is lower than it was) so I want to remove the implant or replace it for a smaller one. How soon can I do that? I dont want to wait six months because I cant even chew with my mouth closed.

Thank you for your question.You appear to have a deep labio-mental fold. Having said that though, your nose-upper lip-chin line remains deficient at the chin level. You have not shown any pictures of your occlusion, so it is difficult to say whether the position of your jaw (mandible) is ideal....

You can correct the chin 'asymmetry' with a sliding genioplasty and contour the jawline with tapering strips of implants to enhance and define the jawline. The 'jowel' area appears at your age due primarily to a reduced bone support; so that the soft tissue 'overlaps' the jawline more readily....

Thank you for your pictures.  Yes, the projection and width can be changed with a sliding genioplasty.  This is slightly challenging.  I agree with Dr. Jamali that I do not believe that your chin needs to be widened.
