I had 7 years of orthodontics and am happy with my bite. I have a strong but recessed chin with an asymmetry on the right side due to chondyle hypoplasia. The right side of my face is smaller and as I age I am experiencing a Jowel on the right side. I also don't like how my chin looks in picture or my profile especially on the right. What can be done for this?

A custom carved chin implant may be able to help improve some of the asymmetry that is present. Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of sizes and shapes and since they are made of Silastic, they can be custom carved to fit the patient's unique anatomy. For more...
Thank you for your pictures. Yes, the projection and width can be changed with a sliding genioplasty. This is slightly challenging. I agree with Dr. Jamali that I do not believe that your chin needs to be widened.
Thank you for your X-ray. I agree with Dr. Apply concerning your hyoid position in the X-ray. There is not a surgical procedure to reposition the hyoid bone. Your best best would be standard techniques that we have to improve chin and neck contour. Best wishes.
