Don't get anxious yet. It can take anywhere from 4-6 months for you swelling to subside and your final results to reveal themselves. I know it's frustrating to not have ideal results immediately, but you must give your body time to heal. Best, Dr. Nazarian
Healing after plastic surgery is a process and the earlier parts are the most challenging. Emotions are a big part of the process as well. Best is to discuss specifically with the operating surgeon so that he /she can take a look.
I think most of the unevenness after liposuction gets better on its own. might take a few months but it will get better. if it persists then you can discuss with your surgeon for a minor revision.
Thank you for your question and photograph. It is difficult to see what exactly is taking place in your photograph, but at only three weeks out from surgery your results need a bit more time to mature in order to see your long-term results. Between the swelling of surgery, the compression garment, and the lighting in the picture, there are many reasons for you to have this appearance. Hang in there and maintain your follow up appointments with your surgeon. They are in the best position to provide you with reassurance.
At three weeks many patients have contour irregularities. It's too early to worry. It's unlikely compressive garments have any long-term effect on the outcome. Lymphatic massage is nonsense and should be avoided if it's too aggressive.
Three weeks is very early after liposuction, and your abdomen may look significantly different after a couple more months. See your plastic surgeon and have them address your concerns.Always see a board certified plastic surgeon for your liposuction.Best wishes.
I appreciate your concern, but it is too early to be concerned. Sometimes the elastic garment can cause temporary skin irregularities. Try to be patient and follow up with your surgeon. Good luck!
Hi,it is too early for you to be apprehensive about outcomes, carry on with the garment and massage, and report back to the forum after 3 - 6 months, I am quite sure that you will get a good resultwarm regardsDr Prashant Murugkar
Thanks for your question. Sometimes swelling and skin laxity makes the surface look wavy or uneven, but its too early to say, some irregularities get better in the postop process, you need still wearing your compression garment, do lymphatic drainage and also the aplication of 3mhz ultrasonic with a physiotherapist will help, remember that you are still on the recovery way, be patient, ask your plastic surgeon if you have any doubth and maintain your follow up appointments with your plastic surgeon
You did not say what kind of liposuction you had. Sometimes liposuction done with lasers like smart lipo can leave irregularities. Its a little hard to tell from your photo. In any event if the irregularity doesnt go away you will need to wait for full healing to adjust it.Sometimes simply swelling or laxity in the skin makes a wavy look. Skin can tighten for up to 18 months and you are still very early from the time of your surgery.Have a discussion with your surgeon to get a better take on what you can expect down the road.Best of luck!
I suggest you get a formal consultaiton with a true body contouring physician who does hi definition procedures with the most gentle fat extraction and most body shaping with fat transferrring. Best, Dr. Emer.
No, this isn't something that I've heard of before. I would speak with your surgeon and perhaps schedule an appointment with your Ob/Gyn or internist as well. Sorry that you are experiencing this. Best, Dr. Nazarian
