A scab is basically clotted blood on top of your skin. A crust is the yummy part at the edge of your pizza.  A crust is a description of a hard outer layer.  So a scab can be described as a crust.

I get this question a lot over the years.If you have coarse wavy hair in the donor site (back of head) than that is the way it will be when we relocate to the desired new location etc... It will keep the same characteristics.

Typically I tell my patients that they need to wait 10 days before placing helmets back on the head.You also need to be taking preventative measures to make sure you slow down the hair loss process.
