About 2 months ago I filled my nose with radiesse, the results were good, I liked it. However after just 2 days the results disappeard. The doctor told me that some places could get flatter, which is what I think happend to me. My nose shape is naturally pretty straight but I have a bulbous nose tip. I would like my nose tip to point more upwards, or in some to try to get the skin on my nose to get pulled upwards, that would do it. It doesnt have to be drastic. Can fillers help me achieve this?
Answer: Injectable fillers are not useful for elevating or narrowing a bulbous nasal tip. In general, tip narrowing and elevation may require rhinoplasty surgery. In our experience, fillers in the nasal tip may result in a wider appearance. And adding volume with fillers would not lift your tip.Wishing you well.Dr. Joseph

Answer: Volumizing Fillers Can Be Used To Raise The Tip Of The Nose I have been performing nonsurgical nose jobs for well over ten years now. Treating a bent or hooked nose, saddle nose deformities, dents along the spine of the nose, irregularities left after surgical rhinoplastiies, and raising a falling or downturned tip have all become common problems that may be treated with gratifying results by the use of a volumizing filler (nonsurgical rhinoplasty, nonsurgical rhinosculpturing). A small amount of volumizer, such as Radiesse combined with Perlane L injected at the base of the columella can lead to an immediate lift of the tip. Occasionally, when necessary, a tiny droplet or two of Botox (or Dysport or Xeomin) can additionally be injected to the sides of the base of the columella to supplement the lift. The latter may even prolong the the duration of the effect. This is not a procedure to be entrusted to an inexperienced injector trained only at a weekend seminar to treat the smile lines with fillers. Make sure to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified asethetic physician with expertise and experience in performing nonsurgical nose jobs. And be sure to ask to see his/her befores and afters.

Answer: Fillers in nose Fillers can be very effective for select patients. Generally I recommend using a Hylauronic acid product rather than Radiesse but either can be effective if injected by a board certified surgeon/injector. Radiesse is generally mixed with anesthetic before injection so the results immediately after are often exaggerated from the appearance after the anesthetic is absorbed by the body. That's perhaps why you feel if didn't last. Usually we get excellent longevity in the nose, up to 2 years, depending on the product and how we customize it for the patient. See an injector which plenty of experience injecting the nose. While these injections are off label and have certain risks associated with them, if performed by an experienced surgeon/injector who determines you're a good candidate for a filler, the results are usually beautiful and patients are very happy.I hope that helps and best of luck!

Answer: Fillers in the nose Fillers in the nose can help a bit to lift the tip, but to get long lasting permanent results, a rhinoplasty is a better option. Good luck.

Answer: Filler to shape the nose You describe liking the effect of Radiesse in your nose, but it only lasting two days. Swelling from the treatment tends to resolve in two days so it is possible returning and getting more product would meet your needs. The Radiesse vehicle will resort in about three months so I would plan on needing a touch up at this time as well. If you could provide photos, it would be possible to better advise you on filler placement.
