Dear Angie in Sidney; It’s hard to tell without photographs, but depending on the thickness of the skin, the strength of the cartilage, and the overall anatomy and relationships between the nose and the lips and cheeks, it may be possible for you to have some improvement with injections to the nasal tip. If you want to increase the length of the nose and sharpness, I would say that's a reasonable thing to consider. You want to have the Kotler saline demo technique. Other surgeons, including those in Australia, certainly could master that technique because you want to see the results, in three dimensions in a mirror.Non-surgical rhinoplasty works because tiny drops of Silikon 1000 are injected just under the nasal skin. Over time, the body walls off those drops with new tissue which provides the plumping action to fill in divots or marks in the nose. The same effect can happen with plain salt water to provide a preview how the nose will look on completion of treatment. The Kotler Saline Demo lasts perhaps two hours, but long enough to take a photo of what the finished nose will look like.Best wishes.Robert Kotler, MD, FACS
