I got tear trough filler a few days ago, and the immediate results looked only slightly better. Now, it looks as if nothing even happened. Did the doctor do right in under filling, or did she not fill correctly? Do I need more? She was really pushing PRP but I opted for Vollure instead. I don’t know what to think but I’m now very unhappy.

Answer: Undereye filler results Without seeing a photo or evaluating you in person, it's hard to determine if you were a good candidate for undereye filler treatment. I prefer to use Restylane when treating the undereyes. It works nicely for undereye dark circles caused by volume loss and hollowing. It also helps with prominent tear troughs and is good for smoothing the eyelid cheek junction in patients with undereye bags.

Answer: Tear troughs Hi there! Thanks for your question. I can see a definite improvement in the hollowness under your eyes. I tell my patients that when we use filler under the eyes, it may settle and need another "top up" to reach near full correction. I never fill to 100% correction because your body will also start to generate some collagen from the procedure and you may look overfilled if that happens. It also accounts for any swelling day to day that you might have. What I see now is that the genetically darker skin under your eyes (almost all of us have this) needs to be addressed. I usually recommend starting with a great eye cream that targets pigment. My favorite is the TNS Eye Repair by SkinMedica. If that doesn't do the trick, then we can look at some other treatments like microneedling, PRP, and peels that are safe for your skin tone in order to lighten up! Best, @DrKatNP.trilogy
