Can a sunken in nasolabial angle be fixed? (Photo)

Question

It looks balanced when this angle is corrected at the same time as tip is projected if this angle is sunken in. the angle where the columella meets the skin at the top of lip. How can this angle be pushed forward away from the face when it is sunken in?

When patients have a small anterior nasal spine or premaxilla, it can cause a shallow midface on profile and a sunken in Nasolabial Angle. Augmentation with Filler, Cartilage, or other Soft Tissue Filler Material (ie. alloderm) can help to plump the area and open up the nasolabial angle.

Columella angle to the lip can be fixed in several ways including cartilage grafts and tissue augmentation of the upper lip. It appears you had a consultation at the clinic so I wonder if the surgeon did go over the technicals aspects with you or not?

Hi,There are many options to solve the problem you mention here.I think you should not be worried with the details of the technique. As every surgeon has his/her own way to solve the problems. Sometimes during the surgery we may need solutions that are much different than we proposed preoperatively. That doesn't mean we should not utilise them.In your case septal extension grafts would do the job. But it's best to get examined by an experienced surgeon wether grafts harvested from nose, ears or ribs may be needed.My best
