Because of this I have quit my job and refuse to go in public is caused me severely depressed, Any advise plz
Answer: Depression after surgery It is very possible to become depressed after any kind of trauma including surgery. Sometimes depression can distort our thoughts about reality and self perception. The photographs show a very good nose with no significant abnormality. There is no evidence of a large poly-beak there might be mild swelling in the supratip area but it is not significant and it is certainly not taking away the beauty of the face and the nose looked beautiful and you need to know that I think the most important part is to get over the insecurity and the depression but obtaining professional help and become reintegrated into societyI am positive you will get back on her feet and will do excellent. You are a beautiful young lady who should not sit back but instead move forward.RegardsDr. J

Answer: You Do Not Have a Polly Beak First of all, the photos show a beautiful young lady. There may be some things you would like to change with your nose, but you do not have a pollybeak deformity. If you are depressed, I strongly suggest that you tackle this problem prior to having further surgery.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and Perfection You have to understand that there is no such thing as the “perfect” nose. As rhinoplasty surgeons, we are able to improve the structure and function of the nose to address specific issues you have with how your nose looks and and how well you can breathe. Perfect symmetry does not exist in nature. Attempts to improve the symmetry of your nose should be aimed at achieving an improvement in your asymmetry to the point where it is no longer very noticeable. If you look carefully enough, you will always be able to find imperfections. The goal is a normal looking nose that is in harmony with the rest of your anatomy.

Answer: Allow me to analyze your nose differently. First of all, see the Web reference link for a modification that I made to one of your profiles, to show the changes that I think would be important in a revision operation. You can see whether you think those changes accurately address what you don't like about your nose right now.You are correct that the dorsum and nasion are flat. The nasion is strong and projecting forward, so it looks as though your nose slides off of your forehead without that little dip at the nasion that I put in the "after" modification. Perhaps the nasion area is where the doctor put the graft that you speak about. If so, it would probably help if it came out.You don't have a "polly beak." That is a fullness much lower down on the profile, just above the tip of the nose. And I don't think your tip is over-projected, which would mean that it sticks out forward too far from your face. Your tip barely has enough projection. What I see is that the tip is low, hanging down. So the combination of a low-hanging tip and the fullness at the nasion makes your nose look very long. In the modification, I elevated the tip, maintained its projection, deepened the nasion, and adjusted the height of the dorsum to match the new position of the tip and the nasion.Does that seem to be an accurate assessment of what you dislike and what you'd like to change?
