Is there a such thing of "soft" butt implants?

I am in the research part of my journey. I want to have a larger bun than currently. I am chatting to another Realself doll whos had implants done and she tells me they are not soft at all. I reaaally want implants with fat transfer but I don't want to waste my time if they are going to stay hard!

For starters, i would encourage you to speak to kore than one, but many previous patients. Indeed there are always risk/benefits and pluses and minuses with every cosmetic surgery. In the end, the key is striking a balance that gives the patient the look they want at minimal risk and long time reward.  Please read on for some very important information on "soft" buttock implants:In short, silicone gel buttock implants are not FDA approved and thus not legal for buttock implantation in the USA. I actually see about one patient a month that had gel implants done in another country and, although they looked a felt great at first, they are now seeking revision because the implants are either visible on top of the muscle and/or grossly deformed by scar contracture or a ruptured implant. The soft semi-solid silicone rubber implants used in the USA are much less likely to have these problems if placed correctly under the gluteus muscle AND are considered permanent implants because they cannot rupture and leak silicone gel.  Breast implants can rupture and leak thus replacement every ten years is the general recommendation. Similar to breast implants, as long as the appropriate implant size/shape is selected and the implant is placed in the correct anatomic plane (i.e. either under or within the gluteus maximus muscle but not on top of or "subfascial"), the end result should  look and feel natural - like an athletically fit buttock. Glad to be of help.

It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your buttock will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. Liposuction of your lower back and fat transfer is also helpful as an adjunct to implants. Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon.

The implants used in the US for buttock augmentation are not like soft silicone breast implants.  They are more like the Gummy implants, a bit firmer.

Butt implants are literally gummy bear in texture ! They are neither hard nor soft, just like a gummy. Implants and fat grafting is a perfect combination of procedures especially if you are concerned about them feeling firm.
