If the product is the same what you inject into the body for other issues such a volume /wrinkles in the face and the product is approved by FDA for that I think injection into the buttock could be safe too. By default always check with the manufacturer. Best Wishes!!
Dear iamTamikah, most plastic surgeons will recommend you to avoid fillers due to high risk of infection and fat necrosis. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
The injections after the BBL may put you at a higher risk for infection and fat necrosis. I remove these materials on a fairly regular basis due to complications, and I would not recommend injections.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello iamTamikah,I appreciate your questions! Injectable Silicone, Biogel, Hydrogel, and Biopolymers used for body contouring are not FDA-approved and can cause serious side effects that may be permanent. Side effects can include ongoing pain and serious injuries, such as scarring, tissue death, and permanent disfigurement. If the silicone migrates beyond the injection site, it could cause an embolism (blockage of a blood vessel), stroke, and infections. Serious complications may occur right away or could develop weeks, months, or years later. Instead of Biogel injections and other foreign material injectable substances that are deemed medically unsafe, I would recommend you getting a second round of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). Unlike short lasting synthetic fillers, re-injecting your own fat may give you natural looking results that last longer, with no risk of rejection. Consult with an experienced plastic surgeon to assess your candidacy for a touchup Brazilian Butt Lift and discuss your particular needs and cosmetic expectations. Best regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
The only two safe things to inject in ones buttock are their own fat or Scupltra, beyond these two things everything else is unsafe to inject into ones own buttock.
