A PS injected Restylane into my tear troughs and upper eyelids did an awful job and caused severe injury. After having the filler dissolved 6 times, I still have a significant amount 15 MTHS later! I was told that it is very difficult to dissolve every bit of it. The filler IS in fact Restylane and not something else. My eyes remain asymmetrical with noticeable lumps that I cannot have fixed bc of the pain. How much longer will I need to wait for the Restylane to dissolve naturally and completely?
Answer: It could last for another three months or so Restylane may last anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on the formula and the area of the face. Fillers in more mobile areas like the lips have a thin, flexible texture and do not last as long as more dense fillers such as cheek and wrinkle fillers.

Answer: Restylane Around the Eyes Restylane can last for many years around the eyes and if it is asymmetrical, waiting and massage often is not sufficient. It can be easily dissolved with Hylenex if necessary or the areas around it filled. The problem is if there's an under-correction. I would recommend seeing an injections specialist who is also an oculoplastic surgeon and they can help you to correct this problem. Restylane dissolves quite quickly, in other areas such as the lips and mid-face, but around the eye area, it can last for many years. Best of luck.

Answer: Restylane around eyes when will it dissolve? Sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately Restylane can last around your eyes for a long time. I would recommend seeing an experienced injector to see if they can offer you treatment. You may also benefit from seeing an oculoplastic surgeon who maybe able assess whether some of the lumps are actually prolapsed fat pads. This can occur when the Restylane is injected too deep and the orbital septum is violated. Hope you find some help and good luck.

Answer: Restylane around eyes has not completely dissolved after 15 months. How much longer must I wait? Hello Jackie,Restylane is a natural product made of hyaluronic acid. It should certainly be absorbed by your body after 9-12 months, but it could take longer. I am sorry to hear that you had complications from your injections. The tear trough is a sensitive area to inject and one must be very careful when doing it because it is easy to make the area look bumpy or too full.If the filler has been injected with the enzyme to dissolve it 6 times and this has not helped, it is possible that some of the filler has caused an immune response around the filler. This is called a granuloma, and it is your body trying to "wall off" the Restylane. They are typically firm areas and they may be slightly tender. It can be hard to get these to resolve on their own. It may require a small incision by your surgeon and he or she may need to remove the granuloma through that incision.Make an appointment with your surgeon and tell him or her your concerns. I hope this helps!
