So I got bags from allergies around may. Didnt know it was allergies. So I did, 1/2 syringe for restylane for both eyes. The result left my eyes puffy and more darker. Two weeks later I received a small amount of hyaluronidase and last week I received a second dose. Now my under eye still looks puffy and dark and I dont know how to fix it. Should look into getting lazer resurfacing? I dont know what to do and my bags look worst.
Answer: Improving Under Eye with Fillers (Belotero, Volbella, Restylane Silk)--add Fraxel, Microneedling/PRP Thank you for your photos, most doctors will recommend waiting 3-5 days before getting more fillers. These fillers (belotero, volbella, restylane silk) are good for under the eye, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: This is not allergies. This is swelling from too much Restylane in the wrong place. Half a syringe of Restylane split between the two eyes is not very much and yet it can still be put in the wrong place. It is not helping you. You need to see an injector who understands volume. That does not seem to be the person you are currently seeing.

Answer: How to relieve under eye puffiness and discoloration after filler and Hyaluronidase? Thanks for your question and the photos. Sorry that you are having these concerns after your injections. We always recommend that you have these performed in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons as we are the experts here. So, after looking at your before photo, I might have tried my best to convince you that you have may have some small volume loss under your eyes but that they are not in that much need for injectable fillers – they look really good. I would have recommended that you use a really good skin care routine and perhaps have something like HydraFacial done to improve the skin tone. At this point, find the best cosmetic derm or plastic surgeon in your area, learn more about skin care and other things that can be done to improve what has been done now. Please don’t let someone convince you to have a laser procedure. Sometimes less is more and in your case, less is more. Good luck.

Answer: Restylane and Under Eye Fillers It is still possible that there is filler under the eyes that needs to be dissolved. The darkness can be there because the filler is still present. I would consult an expert in under eye fillers to examine your eyes. I would also consider taking Zyretc for your allergies and see if the swelling resolves as well. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: Restylane under the eyes Thank you for your question. Half of a syringe of Restylane is very minimal for both eyes. It is possible that you could have benefited from a thinner filler such as Restylane Refyne, Volbella, or Vollure and the Restylane was too thick. Or it may be that the filler was placed incorrectly. The darkness you are noticing now is most likely from the filler and not allergies. It could be something known as the Tyndall effect. The good news is hyaluronidase will be able to dissolve the filler and also waiting for it to dissolve will improve the appearance. Best of luck!
