Hi @sebastian007! Based on your photos, the filler was placed very superficially. The lump can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck to you, Dr. Nima!
This may be superficially placed filler. I recommend following up with your injector. If it is fillers, it can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the question and sorry that you have the concern you have after your filler. We always recommend that you have these injections performed in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons – we are the experts in these injections and if there are concerns, we are best to handle these concerns. It seems that the filler in that area is a bit too superficial – if it bothers you, then go back to your injector and let them use hyaluronidase to dissolve the lump – if it does not bother you, leave it alone and it will resolve in the next few months. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. Restylane usually lasts around 6 months in the body. If the filler was done this February that would mean it has been about 6 months and should be mostly dissolved. However, it is possible to still have some residual filler in the lip.I recommend having a consultation with your injector. It is difficult to determine based on photos alone if the lump is due to the filler. It it is determined that the lump is filler it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Best of luck!
It is likely this is filler that is a bit too superficial. Based on your photo, it looks like the bump is inside the lip and not visible. If this is the case, and it is not bothersome, the area can be left alone. The filler will dissolve by itself in about 6 months. If the bump is annoying, you can do gentle massage. If this isn't sufficient, the filler can be carefully dissolved with the hyaluronidase enzyme. I would suggest following up with you injector to determine the next best step. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. While it can be somewhat normal to have some lumps and bumps after filler in the lips, most of the time this swelling and firmness dissipates. In your case it looks like the filler may have either been placed or gravitated a little superficial - and there is some filler that is close to the surface. If you can't see it, and it's not bothersome, you can just leave it alone - it will eventually go away, as filler placed in the lips typically lasts for 6 months to a year. However, if you are bothered by it you can have it dissolved - but just be aware that typically when a focal area of filler is meant to be dissolved this has to be done carefully so as not to dissolve the filler that you like (and sometimes this is tough to do!). Best of luck!
