PRP angel system hair loss treatment - frequency of treatments? (photos)

Question

I'm 37 year old male. For years I've been using 5% minoxidil to avoid frontal line hair loss however minoxidil lost its efectivness in the beginning of this year. Two weeks ago I decided to try PRP angel system hairloss treatment. I was told that this solution is the most effective due to high plates concecentration comparing to other PRP tratments and another treatment should be performed after 3 months. Im wondering if I should do 2nd treatment sooner - I'm still loosing hair.

Thank you for your question and photos. Unfortunately 2 weeks is not enough time to see progress. Treatments are typically spaced 6-8 weeks apart and it is common to not see results until after your second treatment. I recommend having at least 3-6 treatments. We also have our patients use the igrow helmet 30 minutes per day in between treatments. I hope this helps.Larry Nichter MD, MS FACS

Unfortunately to date there is no standardization as to the proper interval between PRP treatments.Available literature seems to indicate that the most effective frequency is every 6-8 weeks.

Keep in mind, it can take up to 6 months to see results with prp and a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. I do prp with progesterone injections to get the best results with hair growth and quality. I also have all my patients use viviscal, rogaine, and propecia when getting prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert.
