Profound RF after having Infini RF; good idea or waste of money?

Hi Hotlanta,Both Infini and Profound are excellent safe and effective non-surgical skin lifting and tightening procedures that use micro-needles and radiofrequency energy to heat the skin and induce new collagen production.  Infini may require multiple treatments with less down time for each treatment while Profound RF is a one time treatment with a longer downtime (7 to 10 days.)  You may have Profound RF about 4 weeks after recovering from your Infini treatment.  As with any aesthetic procedure, you must choose your treating cosmetic physician carefully based on their experience, skill, knowledge, and most importantly their natural artistic vision.  Good luck and be well!!!

Thank you for your question.  If you are able to tolerate more visible downtime (primarily swelling for several days to a week), then Profound is a reasonable 2nd treatment.  I would wait 4-6 weeks after your Infini RF procedure before you consider the Profound RF treatment.  I would look for an experienced practitioner for this procedure.

   Thank you so much for your question! While these two technologies seem similar (and they are) there are some major differences. While both are non-surgical skin tightening devices, the Depth and Duration is much greater in the Profound RF device. Profound extends up to 6 mm and can be used for cellulite and fat reduction in the SubQ mode. This requires a little bit more down time but as mentioned (and not to sound cliche) leaves the patient with a more Profound  result!! The down time after RF microneedling has to do with swelling and bruising primarily. I have not had a single patient ask for pain medicine after profound. The majority of patient are back to work in 3-4 days. The majority of patients are wearing makeup by day 2-3. Specifically to answer your question, Profound is designed as as a one time treatment and after waiting 4 weeks I would have no issues recommending the treatment after an Infini.
