I am not try to get pregnant, but I have a question that doesn’t seem to be answered anywhere online. There is a lot of information about doctors who will not inject fillers in woman when they get pregnant or if they are trying to get pregnant, but what is the information on woman who get fillers/Botox a while back (say 4+ or more months already from their last injection), then get pregnant? Have any doctors here had pregnant women they know who has fillers in their face while pregnant?
Answer: Pregnancy after filler treatment It is generally recommended to avoid any elective treatments, including injectable fillers, in women who are pregnant or breast feeding. Having a filler treatment a few months prior to becoming pregnant should not cause any issues.

Answer: Fillers during pregnancy Its not recommended to get fillers or Botox while you are pregnant or nursing, as tiny amounts of product may enter the bloodstream during injection and reach the fetus or baby. There is no known risk if you get pregnant after having these products.

Answer: Cosmetic Injections and Pregnancy Good morning! This is an excellent question. Your concerns and potential frustrations in not finding any good information out there about injectables and pregnancy are valid. The answer is simple…the reason you are unable to find any relevant information is because the topic has not been studied formally. In general, drugs are studied during pregnancy, or post pregnancy if lactating, when they are medically necessary. The pros and cons have to be carefully considered, and the benefit to the patient has to outweigh the potential risk to the fetus. Being that Botox and fillers are primarily used for cosmetic purposes, these drugs would not fall under that criteria. That said, once a woman has given birth and is no longer breast feeding, she can enjoy cosmetic injections immediately. Also, we have seen many, many women that have had Botox and/or fillers in the not so distant past, that have had successful pregnancies and births. I hope this helps! Answer: Fillers/Botox before pregnancy Most physician do not like to do elective cosmetic procedures on pregnant patients. Miscarriage and birth defects are non uncommon and if someone has something done while pregnant and then has a negative outcome they will forever wonder whether there was a relationship. I do not know of any studies showing a danger of this or of any reports of negative outcome. I do not think that any of these treatments should be a problem prior to pregnancy .
