I have got Botox & Juvederm many times but they only last a few months. I want something that lasts longer. Also what laser or treatment would I need to firm jowls up and get rid of age spots permanently? I am 70 years old & in good health. Just tired of having to up keep of botox & fillers.
Answer: Long-lasting results with these treatment options There are some more durable injectable treatments for you. Voluma is a filler designed to restore youthful volume with results that can last up to two years. Sculptra is a collagen stimulator that works by boosting collagen levels in the dermal structure. The results take some time to develop but once they become apparent, they can also last two years or longer. You might also want to consider a skin tightening treatment like Ultherapy to rejuvenate the skin and reverse some of your skin laxity. Ultherapy delivers ultrasound energy deep into the connective tissue, where it constricts the tissue and boosts collagen levels. A single treatment produces full results, which can be long-lasting. No matter which treatment you choose, an experienced, board-certified dermatologist is the best person to administer your treatment to ensure the best and longest-lasting results.

Answer: Fillers There are various fillers on the market. Juvederm Voluma will last up to two years, but it is not indicated for all areas of the face. You can also consider Sculptra which will give longer results. Botox lasts 3-4 months. There is currently no similar product available that is longer lasting. Depending on the condition of your skin there are several procedures that can address jowls. FaceTite, Morphues8 and Silhouette InstaLift are. few. The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your concerns and learn about the options.

Answer: Filler longevity Thank you for your question. Botox, Jeaveau, Dysport and Xeomin are toxins and work by temporarily weakening the muscle. Your muscles will get back their nerve supply in 3-4 months. Fillers like Juvederm and Restylane can last up to 12 months depending on where they are placed. Voluma is the only FDA approved filler with a 2-year indication, but the patients in this study had multiple syringes injected. Remember: filler in the lips and around the mouth will disappear faster than in the cheeks based on movement. Best of luck!

Answer: Filler Longevity Thank you for your question. Juvederm Voluma is considered the longest lasting filler which the company says can last up to 2 years. If fillers are only lasting you a couple months, you may be a patient that just absorbs filler quickly. If you are looking to firm up the jowls and get rid of age spots you should do a combination of Thermage and Sculptra with CO2 laser resurfacing. Thermage and Sculptra will help tighten and lift the face by stimulating collagen growth. Botox is something you should still keep up with after laser resurfacing so you aren't creating any new wrinkles or damage. You can get rid of age spots with laser resurfacing but that will not prevent new ones from forming. You should decrease any sun exposure and wear a sunscreen daily all year round. Look for a physical sunscreen (contains zinc or titanium dioxide) that protects against infrared, UVA and UVB. Hope this helps!

Answer: Sculptra is longer lasting then some other fillers Trisha, It is hard to give good answers without photos but, in general: Sculptra can give you much longer lasting volume( two years) than Juvederm . Radiesse should last longer as well but not as long as Sculptra. None of the neurotoxins have proven to last longer than Botox. the all seem to be similar at this point. Nothing gets rid of age spots permanently if you get out in sun so prevention is big part of this.
