I am getting lip fillers in 4 days but I have some cramps and was wondering how it would affect me if I took some Advil pills.
Answer: OTC Blood thinning medications before injection Taking Advil a few days before your treatment can cause more bleeding and bruising. I recommend taking Tylenol for pain during this time until after your treatment. If you have already taken Advil before your treatment, just make your provider aware. Hope this helps.

Answer: Taking Advil 7-14 days will increase risk of bruising Taking NSAIDs including Advil 7-14 days before any injection procedure will increase risk of bruising. If you took a dose, and have your appointment already scheduled, you might get some bruising. Some people tend to bruise more than others, but there are supplements (such as arnica) that you can take if you bruise after an injection procedure. Have a great treatment, Best of luck to you!

Answer: More bruising likely Advil is considered a blood thinning medication. I recommend withholding medications of that type 10-14 days prior to being injected if possible. It's not a requirement but you will have an increased chance of bruising. Try Tylenol instead if the bruising potential concerns you. Taking arnica may help prevent some bruising as well. Check with your injector.
