I'm 20 years old and I am really self concious about my buffalo hump and wanted to know what options do I have and the cost.
Answer: Removing a buffalo hump with VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture, ThermiRF Cost will vary due to skills, technique and expertise. For best results in removing a buffalo hump, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF to get the smoothest result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Buffalo hump My first question would be to determine what caused this. Have you had it a long time? What caused it? There are some conditions, such as taking high dose steriods for certain medical conditions that can cause this hump. I would get an imaging study to confirm it's fatty tissue, as well as a biopsy first to make sure it's not serious (a malignancy). If all of those questions can be answered and it's either a lipoma (benign) or just a fatty collection that's not encapsulated, then it can be removed either directly (incise the skin and remove in one piece, or liposuctioned out. If it's a lipoma, it might be covered under your insurance. If not, then the out of pocket costs would vary.
