Is it normal to not get your period after a surgery like liposuction?

I got liposuction July 14th and was supposed to get my period a day or two after but it's been almost two weeks. I did local anesthesia and lipo to my lower and upper abdomen and flanks. Also there is no possible way I'm pregnant.

I can't say it's fully connected with your operation. This might be because of your post-op psychological tension and I don't think you're pregnant. Your period will return to normal within 2-3 months. I wish you all the best.

It's possible that stress from the procedure has effected your hormones. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your Doctor. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Any time your body goes under stress such as surgery/anesthesia, it can play a factor on our hormone levels thus causing irregular periods. Give your body time to recover. Follow up with your surgeon and OBGYN if your symptoms proceed. Good luck.

Yes. Any kind of stress on the body (and surgery definitely counts as stress) can throw off your menstrual cycle. For now, don't worry. Things should return to normal as your body heals. If you don't get your period next month, contact your gynecologist. Best of luck.
