Doctors, I have 2 questions. Is this morph a reasonable expectation for a revision rhinoplasty? And also, do you think it is an improvement? Left is current, right is morph. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Realistic Expectation The short answers are yes, and yes. You have raised the dorsum (bridge) making it a more masculine profile. This can be accomplished temporarily with hyaluronic acid fillers, or permanently with a revision rhinoplasty. I may recommend you try the fillers first to see if you like the morphed changes. If so, then you can proceed with a permanent revision.

Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty - What Is A Realistic Expectation? Your seemingly simple questions are actually quite complex. I will answer the simpler question first: "Do you think it is an improvement?" The answer is: it depends. It depends on what is bothering YOU. In my practice, I strive to create the results that my patients desire. If you are asking if the morphed photo is an improvement, it indicates that you have questions about it, meaning that it might not address what is bothering you specifically. This is where the conversation with your plastic surgeon would be most helpful. If you have issues that the morphed image does not address, speak to your surgeon, or meet with a surgeon who will truly listen to you. In terms of your second question: revision rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult of procedures. Not knowing what exists under your skin, and which maneuvers were performed at the time of your initial surgery, it might or might not be a realistic expectation. You sound as if you have overall questions and hesitations. I suggest another meeting with your surgeon, as this decision -- whom you choose as your revision-rhinoplasty surgeon -- is a highly important decision, one that will reflect back at you for the rest of your life every time you look in a mirror!

Answer: Morphed nose image Morphing is never reliable. The morphing here shows an elevated dorsum. That can be achieved but please do not use the morphing as an exact guide. RegardsDr. J
