Is a 6mm nose implant classed as large? High nose and over-projected tip after rhinoplasty!

Hello I have recently had a rhinoplasty 4 months ago in the phillipines being of african american decent i feel that the nose looks very fake and over projected with a very high side wall. I have contacted my Dr who advised me that he used a 6mm gortex implant. I just wanted to ask other surgeons who deal in ethnic noses if this is classed as a large implant. I do like that I have some sort of bridge but this is way to big. If it is classed as bigwhat is the standard size used for ladies

The size of dorsal implant varies depending upon bridge of the nose.  6 mm is on the larger size.  However, it is impossible to assess without evaluating the initial photographs.  If the implant is making  nose looks fake can always be replaced with a smaller implant.Dr. J

It would be nice to see photos,  Is 6 mm too much?  It all depends upon the individual and their goals. I prefer autologous cartilage or irradiated as opposed to an implant.

In general implant sizes are chosen based on the individual patients anatomic need and aesthetic goals and desires. There is not a standard size choice. Having said that I generally do not use synthetic implants in the nose.
