Why does it take time to see results my Emsculpt results on my stomach and butt?

How long does it take to see my results on emsculp on my stomach and butt. I had 5 sessions that ended 3 weeks ago.

Hi Snooper,Rome was not built in a day, nor will your ab and glute muscles build in day (or week) after EmSculpt.  It takes time for muscle mass to build and for fat cells to disappear following EmSculpt treatment.  Many patients find that they can feel that their muscles are more firm, some even see improvement after a few weeks.  We emphasize to our patients that the muscle building and fat reduction from EmSculpt continues for up to 6 months.  Good luck, be well, and enjoy your EmSculpt results.Dr. P

Emsculpt is a wonderful muscle building and fat burning treatment. You should begin to feel tangible results right after the treatment. The process increases muscle density and volume. So this can take 2 to 4 weeks after the last session but will continue to improve for several weeks following the treatment. You have more time to see more results if this is week 3 for you! Enjoy and remember maintenance treatments are best to avoid muscle atrophy.

While many patients will note the sense of increased strength nearly immediately following EMSculpt therapy, the visual changes can take some time to develop. EMSculpt is used for muscle strengthening and toning. It is designed to strengthen certain muscle groups by electromagnetic muscle stimulation. If that was the intent and you had a proper application of treatment pads you should talk to the practice management.

The answer will vary with each individual, depending on how much padding (fat) you start with. Two fancy terms, LIPOLYSIS (fat destruction) and APOPTOSIS (cell death) are the keys to understanding results. EMsculpt, while causing muscle hypertrophy (building), also implements lipolysis and apoptosis. While the effects of hypertrophy can be seen quickly (as little as 2-3 weeks), lipolysis and apoptosis take much longer because the destroyed cells have to be "washed out" through your system and can take several months, depending on how much fat was covering the muscle in the first place. Due to the nature of the treatments and the reaction to the therapy, the results are not immediate. Not unlike going to the gym and exercising rigorously, muscle tissue takes time to build. Multiple sessions are needed for optimal completion. A maintenance program will help ensure lasting results.

Final results typically take several weeks to fully reveal themselves. If you haven't already, this might be a good time to return to your EMSCULPT practitioner and tell them what you're experiencing as well as your concerns. Sometimes it can take multiple rounds of treatment sessions to experience the results you're expecting. Talk to your EMSCULPT professional to discuss the option for additional treatments.

With Emsculpt it usually takes 2-4 months to see the full effect of treatments.  You will see results from the muscle building occur very quickly, usually during the first month, and the muscles become more defined each day as fat is broken down.  Most of the results can be seen within 6-8 weeks.  However, it can take as long as 4 more months for the fat to be broken down, which is similar to other bodysculpting treatments like Coolsculpting.

This is a very frequent question from patients! The process is called lipolysis and is taking place as a result of the muscle building initiated by your treatment. Once that process is underway it takes up to six months to see the full results of the EmSculpt treatment. Patients have noted that core strength increases fairly quickly (less than a month for a truly noticeable difference). Diet and exercise are still very important so make sure to stay on top of it!!
