My lips aren't the same years after filler, what can I do?

Typically filler lasts less than a year in the lips. There are some cases in which the lip filler has persisted for much longer. Typically if filler is placed too superficial the filler can remain for much longer. It is difficult to say if there is still filler present which has created the unwanted appearance of your lips but I would inject hyaluronidase to the area to dissolve any filler still remaining. Following this the baseline appearance of your lips can be assessed and you can decide if you want to pursue further treatments.  Please consult a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in aesthetic injectables. Thank you for sharing your question.  For most patients HA fillers dissolve from between 5 months and 18 months after treatment.  I would recommend seeing an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and for an in-person evaluation of your current lips and photos of your lips prior to treatment.  If filler is still thought to cause the problem it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase to restore your oringal appearance.  Hope this helps.
