I took an aspirin before my injections. Will it ruin or move my under eye filler?

Thank you for your question.  Please do not worry about filler moving due to aspirin. It doesn't happen. Taking aspirin simply slightly increased your change of developing a potential bruise.  I only use microcannulas for tear trough area and hope your provider does the same.  It decreases potential for bruising and swelling.  Good luck. Aspirin will not affect the filler. What aspirin made do is cause bruising. If  bruising does happen it's temporary. So I would not worry too much about having taken aspirin.

Taking aspirin won't ruin your results or cause injectable fillers to migrate, but can increase the risk of post-injection bruising because aspirin thins the blood. Be sure you let your injector know that you've taken aspirin and the dose so they're aware before your procedure. Best of luck to you.

There is nothing to worry about. Other than a slightly increased risk of bruising, the Aspirin will not cause any other issues.

Aspirin affect the function of platelets and therefore will increase your risk of bruising. You can reduce that risk but using a cannula, which I feel is safer and better in that area anyway. Bruising in itself doesn't lead to any major problems or complications. It will not cause the filler to move or shift. It just causes temporary discoloration and swelling. Good luck!

The only complication it will cause is bruising and possible bleeding during the fillers injection and postoperatively. As a consequence some greater and longer lasting swelling might be also an issue. Usage of cannula while administering the filler may significantly  decrease the likelihood of such outcome. Next time avoid taking aspirin or any NSAIDs (motrin, aleve) at least 5 days prior to your filler injection (Tylenol is Ok though) and talk to your doctor about any other medications and supplements you are taking prior to any procedure.  Good luck, Dr. Daniyar

It is best to avoid Aspirin before any cosmetic facial injections because of the bruising or swelling that can result from this blood thinner. Aspirin will not have any effect on moving or changing the product once it is injected.  I prefer Belotero and Restylane for the delicate under eye area.  Please consult an expert in under eye fillers for the best cosmetic results. No worries.  You may have a slight increased risk of bruising, but should otherwise not effect the filler.  Definitive evidence is lacking, but some of my colleagues think taking oral arnica and or bromelain a few days before filler decreases the risk of bruising.  They are both herbal supplements and widely available. Thank you for your question.  Aspirin will not ruin or move under eye filler.  Aspirin will increase the chance of bruising after being injected.  I discourage my patients from taking any Aspirin or Non Steroidal Antiinflammatory (NSAID) medications prior to being injected.

Taking aspiring would increase the risk of bruises after filler injection.
Aspirin makes your blood slightly thinner and have tendency to bleed. It is, though ,not the only factor affecting risk of bleeding after filler injection. I have had patients taking aspirin regularly and had no bleeding.
As a rule, It would be the best practice and I advise patients to avoid NSAIDS, ASPIRIN, Fish oil for few days before going for filler injection. Arnica may be taken from a day before the procedure too.  
Being said that there are situations, patients can not stop taking aspirin and understand and accept the risk of potential bruising. Little cautious injections, majority of those patients would n't have any bleeding.
