Just curious about this one, I have been told that using amphetamines might result in necrosis. If so, how big is the risk and how long before a rhinoplasty should one stop any? I do not use "street drugs" at all, however I have a legitimate Adderall prescription for ADD (which is made of amphetamines) and I am therefore concerned about potential risks.

The first week you are usually bruised, swollen, and have splints. The second week you may be prone to swelling, pain, and worse case a bad nose bleed. Once you get to the third week, this kind of exertion will not have any deleterious effects.
Radix height is best evaluated from the profile view; not the frontal view. In men, the radix ideally sits at or above the lid crease. 5 1/2 weeks is quite early to judge the result. Whenever the radix is altered it tends to hold swelling longer.
