I am in need of a lip lift and have been doing some research. It seems the prices vary by thousands of dollars, as well as the predicted healing time. I am looking for a procedure that will leave no scar, (is this possible?) What are the predicted healing times for the scar to become invisible, and has anyone heard of, or doing Extended Biplaner Lip Lifts or other no scaring, or marginal scaring procedures in New York?
Answer: Lip Lift and Scar Extended biplanar lifting is a facelift term which refers to lifting the deep SMAS and the skin in different vectors. This has little to do with lip lifts, since the SMAS is generally not lifted as a separate entity. Also, there is no such thing as scarless lip lift surgery. If you look closely at the before/afters of all busy lip lift surgeons you can frequently see some sign of a scar. That being said, I have never had a patient regret having a lip lift because of the scarring. Most of the time it heals very well and is not noticeable. Total healing time for just about any incision on the face is 1 year, but you will generally look presentable without makeup in a few weeks. .Gary Linkov, MDLip SpecialistManhattan

Answer: Lip lift with almost no visible scar! Lip lift with almost no visible scar! For 44 years i have used the M type lip lift and NOT the “bullhorn” incision since all of the incision is inside the nose except for the tiny line at the lip-columella junction. Having done hundreds of these without a bad scar I feel this is best if done by a very experienced lip lift surgeon who can show you many photos of his results.

Answer: Scarring After Lip Lift ponandparn Sorry, but there is no such thing as scarless lip lift surgery. Under perfect conditions the scar is camouflaged and is hidden just beneath the nostrils. However, if the scar is misplaced or the scarring is thick and noticeable, it’s hard to fix. It is for this reason that I usually reserve lip lift surgery only for patients with a long upper lip, meaning that there is a significant distance between the upper border of the upper lip and the nostrils of the nose. In most cases an excellent result can be accomplished with lip fillers or transferred fat. In that case, there is no scarring! Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon in our area to explore of the best options for you. Good luck.

Answer: Lip lift is an excellent procedure but cannot be performed without an incision Lip lift is a great way to improve the appearnce of your upper lip and shorten the distance to your nose. However, this requires removal of skin and suspension of the SMAS layer on top of the upper lip muscles. Price may vary since some surgeons are facial plastic specialists and know how to best close the incision to make it the least visible as possible.

Answer: Lip lift A lip lift is a procedure that raises the lip and places the incision along the nostril sill. There will always be a small scar in the area after the procedure, but it usually fades nicely with time.
