Hello, I'm considering a lip lift and I wanted to find out what happens to nasolabial folds after lip lift? Do they become more visible and deeper? My doctor did not mention anything about the possible nasolabial folds change, but I think it's unavoidable. Thank you!

Answer: Lip lift and folds Thank you for your question. Nothing happens with your folds when a lip lift is performed. The incisions should hide nicely in the crease around your nose. Good luck with your procedure.

Answer: Subnasal Lip Lift and Nasolabial Fold Deepening of the nasolabial fold is not a sequelae from a subnasal lip lift that I have ever seen. This is understandable because there is no pull up by the nostril base as the skin excision tapers at this point. The primary effect of a subnasal lip lift is at the central lip not at the lateral lip.
