Dissolving restylane and juvederm in my lips?

Hello MM. I'm sorry that your going through these issues. You should consult with an expert in lip injections in your area for best results. Take a copy of your medical records so the new doctor can confirm what exact product was injected. Many times in my office what patients remember and what is injected doesn't match. Only HA fillers can be dissolved. Also, I believe you should switch to a different from of hyaluronidase than the product that's being used. I prefer recombinant hyaluronidase (Hylenex) and it has not let me down. 

It is possible that the filler is still there. Isn't it odd that filler with poor results always seems to last forever and well placed filler never lasts long enough. I would try multiple courses of Hylenex for this. Keep in mind that compounded hyaluronidase is less effective than named brands. It is also possible that there is collagen built up around the filler and then it becomes tougher to eradicate. The hyalurnidase tends to spread fairly far from the injection point so being real exact with it's placement is less important.

Hyalorunidase can dissolve juvederm, restylane , etc. but not radiesse or silicone. ascertain what you had injected and the see and expert in trying to resolve your issues. 

Only hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved. If your injector placed silicone or another product, then it will not be able to be dissolved.

There are definitely times that it takes several rounds of Hyaluonidase to dissolve the fillers.  You should consult an expert in lip injections to assess your lips and make sure that there is not scar tissue there which has formed.  Best, Dr. Green
