VASER is an incredible tool when used in the proper scenarios. Yes, it will tighten skin to some degree but plastic surgeons who make great claims that it will tighten skin incredibly well are misleading you. VASER will tighten skin when it is brought very close to the surface such as in high-definition cases. However, for generalized liposuction cases the skin tightening received will be minimal. It will tighten skin more than traditional liposuction, but if skin tightening is what you are after, there are better options such as BodyTite. VASER and BodyTite in together provides very powerful skin tightening. So to answer your question, no, it is not that good regarding skin tightening.
Personally, I use Vaser ultrasound liposuction for the majority of my cases. It easily removed stubborn areas of fat with great skin tightening. (Which traditional liposuction does not offer). An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
I have seen in 10 years of using Vaser that skin tightening is excellent, however the provider must assess the patients skin turgor to see if the skin has the ability to pull back and give a good appearance. Hope this is helpful. JB

Greater skin tightening (up to 50% more) can be achieved with VASER than with other types of liposuction, as the ultrasound energy can be safely applied in the tissue layer just below the skin. However, the degree of skin tightening is dependent on a number of variables (age, body area, skin quality, amount of laxity), so VASER can't be relied upon to get the amount of desired skin tightening in all circumstances. It's not unusual to use a combination of treatments to get the best results. As always, evaluation by a qualified surgeon is necessary to assess your individual needs.
