I’ve heard C+B can shrink pores over a series. What about pores that have become enlarged due to past acne/blackheads/picking rather than genetics? Thank you!
Answer: Enlarged Pores One newer option for enlarged pores is microbotox. Small doses of botox are administered just below the skin surface. A good option for delivery of micro botox is AquaGold.

Answer: Clear & brilliant can help improve overall appearance of skin Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Clear and Brilliant for Scarred Pores Yes, Clear + Brilliant can absolutely work to shrink pores scarred caused by acne. Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment that does not penetrate as deep as some lasers, working primarily on the upper layers of skin to stimulate collagen and replace damaged skin with healthier, younger looking skin.Because of its gentler nature, Clear + Brilliant is most ideal for people with shallow to moderately shallow acne scarring. Unfortunately, if you have extremely deep acne scars, Clear + Brilliant may not be the most effective treatment option. That being said, if you have any questions regarding any skin care treatments, there is no substitute for an in-person consultation with a certified medical provider.

Answer: Pore Size Reduction The Clear + Brilliant can certainly reduce pore size and the Permea handpiece works well for that purpose, regardless of the cause of your enlarged pores. Since the Clear + Brilliant® is a fractionated device, it does require a series of treatments (4-6) for noticeable change in that area. We now offer the new Allumera® treatment that is garnering much attention for reducing pore size. Most patients require three treatments spaced a month apart for best results. I would look into both the Allumera® treatment and Clear + Brilliant laser and weigh the pros and cons of each.

Answer: Clear and Brilliant and Acne Scarring/Pores Clear and Brilliant is a great laser for treating enlarged pores and targeting melanin. A better laser for acne scars is the Fraxel fractionated laser as it is much stronger (40 mJ versus 10 mJ energy) and resurfaces skin. The main drawback is that it has a downtime of a few days.
