One newer option for enlarged pores is microbotox. Small doses of botox are administered just below the skin surface. A good option for delivery of micro botox is AquaGold.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Yes, Clear + Brilliant can absolutely work to shrink pores scarred caused by acne. Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment that does not penetrate as deep as some lasers, working primarily on the upper layers of skin to stimulate collagen and replace damaged skin with healthier, younger looking skin.Because of its gentler nature, Clear + Brilliant is most ideal for people with shallow to moderately shallow acne scarring. Unfortunately, if you have extremely deep acne scars, Clear + Brilliant may not be the most effective treatment option. That being said, if you have any questions regarding any skin care treatments, there is no substitute for an in-person consultation with a certified medical provider.
The Clear + Brilliant can certainly reduce pore size and the Permea handpiece works well for that purpose, regardless of the cause of your enlarged pores. Since the Clear + Brilliant® is a fractionated device, it does require a series of treatments (4-6) for noticeable change in that area. We now offer the new Allumera® treatment that is garnering much attention for reducing pore size. Most patients require three treatments spaced a month apart for best results. I would look into both the Allumera® treatment and Clear + Brilliant laser and weigh the pros and cons of each.
Clear and Brilliant is a great laser for treating enlarged pores and targeting melanin. A better laser for acne scars is the Fraxel fractionated laser as it is much stronger (40 mJ versus 10 mJ energy) and resurfaces skin. The main drawback is that it has a downtime of a few days.Dr. Anna Sylwestrowicz MD FRCP(C)Victoria, BC
Clear and Brilliant is the best treatment for enlarged pores. A series of treatments will shrink and reduce them. Find a board certified dermatologist.
Yes, this is an excellent treatment for pores, the 1927 is my preferred option in the Permea setting. See an experienced operator as we over lap the areas of concern, rather than using the card energy in the standardised grid setting. Adding copper peptides, or PRP can accelerate healing, and provide better pore shrinkage. Dr Isobel Walker. Brisbane. Australia.
See my video on YouTube covering pores. Many methods to treat pore sizing, I prefer lasers than Microbotox because 1. More predictable 2. Last longer. 3. Much more cost effective in the long run. Dr Steve Weiner is excellent as he pioneered the AquaGold delivery method, and like myself, we use different lasers including C and B, Fraxel, and pico lasers for pores. Your Specialist can dictate extra energy areas where your pores are, and break the protocol of full face energy card delivery, so if you are limited only to C and B, yes, it can reduce pore sizing, depending on your skin type. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
It is possible that you have a small area of a 1st or 2nd degree burn. Afterall, a C&B is a laser treatment and this is a known risk of light based therapies. The settings on the machine can be lowered with the next session and make sure to follow up with your provider. A little polysporin...

C&B is a very gentle laser that refreshes skin from inside out. The laser beam creates millions of microscopic treatment zones (like aerating a lawn!) and will help with fine lines, tone and texture after 4-6 treatments spaced 2 weeks to 1 month apart. Dr. Anna Sylwestrowicz MD, FRCP(C) Victoria, BC
