I’ve heard C+B can shrink pores over a series. What about pores that have become enlarged due to past acne/blackheads/picking rather than genetics? Thank you!

Answer: Pore Size Reduction The Clear + Brilliant can certainly reduce pore size and the Permea handpiece works well for that purpose, regardless of the cause of your enlarged pores. Since the Clear + Brilliant® is a fractionated device, it does require a series of treatments (4-6) for noticeable change in that area. We now offer the new Allumera® treatment that is garnering much attention for reducing pore size. Most patients require three treatments spaced a month apart for best results. I would look into both the Allumera® treatment and Clear + Brilliant laser and weigh the pros and cons of each.

Answer: Clear and Brilliant and Acne Scarring/Pores Clear and Brilliant is a great laser for treating enlarged pores and targeting melanin. A better laser for acne scars is the Fraxel fractionated laser as it is much stronger (40 mJ versus 10 mJ energy) and resurfaces skin. The main drawback is that it has a downtime of a few days.
