It is possible that you have a small area of a 1st or 2nd degree burn. Afterall, a C&B is a laser treatment and this is a known risk of light based therapies.
The settings on the machine can be lowered with the next session and make sure to follow up with your provider. A little polysporin (triple action with lidocaine) can help with the tenderness.

It is possible that you have a burn.  You should call your physician and show it to him/her.  Most Clear + Brilliant treatments heal well.  The setting can be lowered for your next treatment if it was too strong.

It's hard to comment on your specific case without seeing a photo or evaluating you in person. The Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment and so I suspect you were not burned as long as the laser was performed by an experience provider. Keep the skin moist, don't pick at it, and keep it out of the sun.
