I have read many reviews about people getting miradry done and start sweating a few months to a year later. I read once the sweat gland are destroyed they can't regenerate. So why are so many people sweating again?

Answer: Is miraDry permanent? @kelly235Commonly, after one treatment in our office (at the highest setting, with an appropriately sized template) our patients have a 70-85% reduction in sweat AND odor. We will do a follow up iodine and starch test 4-6 weeks after treatment to determine the amount (if any) of active glands, and will do a second treatment if necessary at half price. The following is taken from the miraDry website..It’s actually pretty simple. The miraDry ® system uses energy that targets and destroys the sweat and odor glands in your underarm. Once those glands are destroyed they do not grow back—so once they are gone, they are gone for good.Talk with your healthcare professional today and get an estimate. Good luck!#howmanytreatments #miraDry #hyperhidrosis

Answer: Miradry and effectiveness Thank you for your questions. It is very reasonable to question the effectiveness of any procedure. miraDry has been a very effective procedure in my practice, but I have had one patient that I did go to surgery for a definitive result. Prior to the surgery, I did test the armpit region to see which areas were still sweating. I noticed a dramatic reduction in the sweating surface area, however, the surface areas that were still resistant were sweating effusively. In addition, with some of the newer techniques and protocols that I am using, I find that the results to become even more effective.

Answer: Success rate for Miradry in Los Angeles I have had amazing results with Miradry. It is unreasonable to predict your outcome on Miradry because every patient's hyperhidrosis and genetics are different. That being said, the Miradry is extremely effective in my practice thus far. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
