I had miradry (level 5) on july 1st. The girl who did it was being trained and i was only like her 5th person she has done. I was a little sore the first day but by the 2nd day i felt totally fine. It is now september 5th and i still have lumps under my arms from the procedure. should i be concerned/worried? When i press on them they feel a little sore.
Answer: Lumps Post MiraDry Procedure After the MiraDry procedure you will notice a reduction or elimination in your underarm sweat and odor and reduction in underarm hair. Immediately post procedure you may have some swelling and numbness which is normal. We recommend an anti-inflammatory, ice and an antibiotic ointment. In my practice, we also offer manual lymphatic drainage massage which we saw decreased the amount of swelling our patients experience. Lumps and soreness after the treatment are normal. Daily massage and stretching will help as well as Vitamin B12 which will help with nerve regeneration. For up to two weeks post procedure it is important to: avoid shaving until the tenderness has subsided, avoid deodorant or antiperspirant and wear loose tops.

Answer: MiraDry and Lumpiness While Healing Thanks for your question. Lumpiness, swelling and bruising may occur after a MiraDry treatment. Each individual is different, but it may take 6-8 weeks for this to resolve, and may be helped by gentle massage of the underarm area. Make sure to follow up with your provider if you are concerned about the lumpiness as well as to evaluate your results. Best of luck, Dr. Aldo :-)

Answer: Plato's Scar Serum after Miradry for scar tissue. There are a few reasons why people have lumps after Miradry. I have co-authored a book on Miradry and have a regional referral center for hyperhidrosis. I would suggest Swell X tablets twice daily for a week and gentle lymphatic massage with Plato's Scar Serum. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
