Based on the photo, will you be able to advise on which procedure I should go for to lift the corners of my lips? I read that Botox and fillers help but not too sure if I need them both.

Answer: Botox/filler for downturned lips Based on your photo, your lower face looks beautiful and by doing too many things it is easy to make it worse. It is already close to being perfect so the treatments would need to be very delicate. Both Botox and fillers could help but in very small doses.Make sure that you see experienced doctor who has done many non-surgical treatments in his/her carrier - clearly, you do not need surgery.I hope that helps and best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko.

Answer: Fillers Work Well For Downturned Angles Of The Mouth I have been using Botox for aesthetic purposes since 1991. On occasion, it is used to treat the depressor muscles in part responsible for giving rise to the downturned angles of the mouth--especially when they are so pronounced as to create marionette (sad) lines, i.e. furrows that extend from the corners of the mouth downward toward the sides of the chin. But, clearly from the photo here, this is not the case. The slight shadowing at the angles of the mouth that is evident here can be easily, quickly and relatively inexpensively treated with a filler. My filler of choice for this purpose in my Upper East Side Manhattan practice would be Restylane Lyft. In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers and volumizers are available, I would opt for Hyaluronica 2).Be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic core physician with experience and expertise in the use of fillers and volumizers and be certain to ask to see his/her before and after photos before proceeding.Best of luck.
