I perform 6-8 BBLs per week and have studied the research about fat survival. Keeping weight off the newly transferred fat is key. I recommend 6 weeks without sitting. Sitting too soon will cause the fat to die and will greatly minimize your results. Unfortunately, so many doctors are doing this procedure now but they don't truly understand the biology of fat. This had lead to many revisions being needed. 25% of the BBLs that I do are revisions from other surgeons.
If it's possible you could let us know how much fat was placed. In general, unsatisfactory size is often due to inadequate volume placement. If you're unhappy with the size of the buttock, it is possible to get a larger size by gaining a little weight. I hope old this helps!dr DelVecchio
I usually allow my patients to sit down after about two weeks, but I prefer they do not sit too long in one position for any great length of time for the first several weeks to avoid potential issues with the fat. Best of luck.
At 1 month post op you are still healing. We usually recommend to avoid sitting for long periods of time until 6 weeks post op. Follow up with your surgeon for his recommendation.
