I just had a rhinoplasty surgery two days ago and one of the things we talked about with my doctor was an alar base reduction. When I got out of surgery, I noticed there were no external nasal scars like I thought were typical after an alar base reduction. I emailed my doctor and asked if he had decided not to perform that procedure, and he said he did everything we talked about. How can this be? Can the alar base be narrowed without external stitches? Wouldnt I be able to see that?
