6 months post op Liposuction 360, how can you tell if after liposuction fat is still left over?

I got my procedure done March 17th 2018 liposuction 360. It seems that fat was taken out everywhere because I cannot pinch anything but there is still fat left over in my midsection especially the lower area. I was told at my 3 month post op by the doctor to wait till i'm 6 months post op. I haven't seen any changes as yet and I know it's definitely not excess skin. Is there a way for me to tell if it's fat I would appreciate other inputs. Thanks.

trini4uu.   I appreciate your concern, however it most certainly takes at least six months to fully recover from extensive liposuction like the one you had. If you had your procedure in March, a full six months will end mid-September. At that time, most swelling will subside, and your surgeon will be able to determine if there is residual fat that needs to be removed.  It is not uncommon to need minor revisions or tweaks after multiple areas of liposuction or large volume liposuction is performed. Try to stay patient and stay in contact with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

After healing has occurred you will be better able to assess.  Some areas on the abdomen and some other areas like flanks or hips can have a lot of fiber in the fatty tissue that holds swelling for a year or more.  Or you may be feeling loose skin which is commonly mistaken for "fat" by many patients.  Review your concerns with your plastic surgeon and get some input at your next visit.
