Hi, I got my rhinoplasty 07/2022 My nose had extremely uneven nostrils from the stand you saw the bump from the beginning coming back but we thought would subside. During parts of the healing process the tip looked good but the bump always looked bad. It’s almost 2 years post surgery and my tip has fallen, the bottom of the tip is further down than it was before. The nostrils are still uneven and there’s not only a bump on the side but on the top. The tip looks different and odd and nostrils lo
Answer: Unfortunately, these are some common complaints after a rhinoplasty. More... You're probably looking at a revision to get things closer to the way you wanted them in the first place. The bump can be lowered, the tip can be narrowed and elevated, in a manner to keep it up as it heals. How *much* to elevate the tip, or narrow the tip, or make other changes? We figure that out with morphs, well before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. Profile and three-quarter views would be particularly important in morphing your nose. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.) Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. It's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations. And for those who have had previous surgery, it also discusses how to tell whether your first surgeon should be performing your revision.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question We definitely do not recommend filling, the swelling that persists after 6 months is permanent, for this I recommend a revision operation. It would be better face to face consultation. Best regards!

Answer: Swelling after rhinoplasty surgery may camouflage underlying irregularities with thin nasal skin. Patients within nasal skin may have a change in the appearance of their noses after rhinoplasty surgery due to the prolonged healing process. If you are unhappy with a droopy nasal tip appearance and a dorsal hump, you may wish to consider revision rhinoplasty surgery. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty outcome Most plastic surgeons typically say that rhinoplasty surgery takes about a year before results are final. Most of the early changes settle down in the first few months but there can be subtle changes that can be seen longer than that. After 12 months is unlikely patients are going to see changes Due to waiting further. Long-term results are the final outcome. Best, Matt Hagstrom, MD
