Allow me to answer your question as best i can based upon your photos. However, please keep in mind that an in-person, or at least a virtual, consultation with physical exam is first necessary before any legitimate evaluation or final surgical recommendations can be made.Presumably, your surgeon placed the same buttock implant in each side and in the same tissue plane. If so, the significant difference in volume appearance is most likely from either a fluid collection (aka “seroma”) or the development of capsule contracture. Either way, an in person physical exam would be necessary to determine this as well as potential other causes. Finally, this is NOT something that should be fixed with “fillers”. This is something that will either need percutaneous fluid drainage and/or surgical correction. Hope this helps.
Dear AmandaMariexo777,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
What you are describing is caused by butt implant malposition which can occur with butt implants. Your options include fat grafting the left side to camouflage implant malposition or just get rid of the implants altogether and replace the volume with your own fat.Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a simultaneous butt implant removal and fat grafting transfer. This procedure is technical and requires advanced tools and expert technique. First, an ultrasound probe must be used to ensure that the transferred fat does not get into the pocket created by the implant once the implant is removed as this will result in the death of all the fat. Second, use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat will be required since you probably don’t have much fat to begin with since you elected to have a butt implant rather than a BBL the first time go around. Additionally, VASER allows for thinner layer of fat grafting that is required for refilling of the area where the implant was previously positioned. This is because this layer has been thinned out and can only accept liquified fat that is harvested using VASER technology. Fat should also be harvested with 1) a closed looped system to process the fat in order to optimize transfer time and avoid your fat from becoming contaminated and 2) strategic micro-packet transplant technique that maximizes graft take. These processes have demonstrated over 90% fat graft take. Finally, we must consider whether you will need a skin tightening maneuver such as a lateral thigh and buttock tuck that might be required if you have sagging buttock skin. Last but not least, attention must be given to providing you the buttock shape that YOU desire. This means using our proprietary BBL assessment tool. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled Butt implant patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. Our buttock assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
I suggest you follow up with the surgeon who did your procedure to discuss your concerns.Based on limited information it appears you would benefit from revising your gluteal augmentation.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
I believe your gluteal asymmetry is a congenital defect and happened during embryological development. Most likely the cyst came from that abnormality rather than the other way around. Creating symmetry is going to be difficult because the left side one most likely not project correctly with...
Very sorry to hear of your misfortune. More information is needed in order to better understand the current condition of your gluteus muscles. If your muscles too have been damaged by the infection it may be very difficult to gain muscle mass back. Typically in this situation, the most reliable...
Photos would aid in our diagnosis. I have seen hundreds of post immunization scars and dents mostly in women from outside the US. The treatment is different in several conditions. Done require excising the scar and stitching it. Others require fat or a filler injected to fill the dent. Still...
