I'm 60yo 160cm tall 144 lbs in good health. I have banana rolls and a flat sagging butt. Ideally I would like Butt Augmentation but in the UK BBL and Butt implants are not often performed due to difficulty getting insurance re BAAPS concerns over safety. Would skin excision improve the look or make it worse? Any other treatment suggestions?

Answer: Wrinkly banana roll It appears that the primary problem is a lack of skin elasticities combined with a lack of volume. Did you have Liposuction in this area any time in the past? Considering that the problem exists because of both skin laxity due to a loss of skin elasticities and volume depletion treating either of those should give some improvement. Exciting skin will leave a significant scar. The BBL procedure or grafting fat in this region can be done but the results vary substantially depending on who does the procedure. In your case I’m not sure I would even call it a BBL but rather restoring lost volume. It’s very important to know if you’ve had previous procedures such as previous Liposuction in the area. If you have than restoring the volume will become much more challenging. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
