I'm a 41 yo man. I'm losing fullness in my face, sagging, as well as crepeing in my neck. I'm considering micro coring and/or micro needling with RF. Can someone help me understand the pros/cons of each and what they would recommend? I'm clear that anything shared here needs to be taken in context that none of you have seen me in person. The feedback will help me round out my POV after I see a few doctors in person. Thank you in advance!
Answer: Micro-Coring vs Micro-Needling with Radio Frequency for face and neck Micro-coring and micro-needling with radiofrequency (RF) are both procedures that aim to address facial concerns. Micro-coring involves using small, circular incisions to remove tissue, while micro-needling with RF uses tiny needles to deliver heat energy into the skin. Pros and cons can vary, and the effectiveness depends on individual factors. Micro-coring may offer precise tissue removal, but it involves incisions and potential downtime. Micro-needling with RF stimulates collagen production and may have less downtime but can melt facial fat. Best of luck !

Answer: Venus Viva RF or Morpheus8 can help tighten the skin and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the neck Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Everyone has a unique pattern of scarring and we employ our HIDEF technique to improve texture, color, contour, and topography. We often use a combination of treatments that begin with a careful examination to examine the micro texturing of the acne scars. Atrophic scars and indented scars can benefit from injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Restylane with or without subcision to remove tethered scars and atrophic depression. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Above all, our combination approach with our clinical nurses and board-certified plastic surgeons can improve the quality of your skin by using at home Melarase creams combined with PRP treatments in our office to improve your skin quality and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced team of experts in order to reduce your scarring. Finally, hyperpigmentation of scars can be improved with at-home Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads to help reduce active PIH and melanin deposition. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Excess neck skin The option with the best result for extra neck skin is a neck (lower face) lift versus a full facelift. In men more so than women, lifts tend to loosen some over time, although never as loose as pre-operatively. Some patients elect to get a direct submentoplasty. Direct submentoplasty option is extremely durable (lasts 15+ years), however there is a faint neck scar. As surgeons, we see many patients who spend significant time and money on other procedures which have very limited results that patients find to be unsatisfactory. If the concern was extra fullness/fat under the chin then FaceTite would be an option, but based on these photos, it would not give a satisfactory result. Microcoring and microneedling are also highly unlikely to produce a satisfactory result.
