Is it safe to have micro needling or laser resurfacing procedures after silicon 1000 filler (procedures done 5 and 10 years ago) under eyes, nose, and laugh lines?
Answer: Permanent Fillers Can Translate Into Permanent Complications Permanent fillers, like silicone and Bellafill, once injected, remain within the skin permanently. While the idea of a permanent filler giving a permanent result is enticing, the results are typically not permanent since the aging process, which goes on inexorably around the filler, so often necessitates further treatments with the passage of time. Another problem is that permanent fillers are well known causes of unsightly and disfiguring nodules that can form not only soon after treatment, but even five, ten or twenty+ years later, especially if the area is manipulated in some way, as during dental work, etc. It is for this reason that I personally do not use permanent fillers at all. My concern here would be that the microneedling or fraxel laser work could theoretically act as triggers, as well. You would be wise to discuss this thoroughly in advance with your doctor. Hope this helps.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Microneedling, Morheus8, and Fraxel are OK after Silikon-1000… We utilize a Morpheus8 machine to improve fine lines, facial wrinkles, and to tighten skin regularly in our practice. In our patients who have received microdroplet Silikon-1000 patients, we offer Morpheus 8, and we have not seen any issues - none. Morpheus 8 is microneedling with fractionated radiofrequency energy that delivers heat to achieve a desired result. The flash point of Silikon-1000 is 518 degrees Fahrenheit, so fractionated laser is safe as well. I hope this helps and thank you for your question! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph.
