After having a rhinoplasty and breast lift done, how long would it be until it is safe to go on a 15+ hour flight. I’m very worried about clots to be honest. Would it be safe after four weeks? Or would I need longer? What do you recommend? Thank you.

Answer: Always best to check with your surgeon's protocol I suggest to my patients at least a week, and I had a patient fly from Philadelphia to Utah the next day after an augmentation/lift operation. She had no problems whatsoever. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee. Philadelphia, Pa., USA

Answer: My Recommendation Dear Thearoses, thank you for your question, you should be able to fly back after 15 to 21 days following all the post op protocols and your surgeon advices. However, every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.
