Intramuscular butt implant removal - will the skin retract to its original tightness? (photos)

Very interesting question. It’s odd for implants that are placed within the muscle to sag. I believe a pocket revision is a good idea before removing the implants to make sure they have a good amount of muscle coverage. If this is not an option, removing the implants will make your butt flatter and it will probably sag. But, your muscle fibers will reconnect and your should regain your strewing by working out. If you are young and have good collagen and goos skin tone it will retract somewhat, but probably not like before. There are treatments for skin tightening in this like Sculptra that will work.
A BBL is always a good option. If you are skinny you might not have enough fat for big results but you should still have enough fat for a nicer shape and filling out the space. With a BBL, future wight gain usually translates into a bigger but so your results may keep improving.

Removal of gluteal implants can have negative side effects on the overlying skin.The most common problem is in the case where implants were placed above the muscle, creating a tissue, separation plane between the skin, and the fat layer, and the underlying gluteus muscle. Normally, these tissues are quite well adhere to each other, and have very little side to side movements. When the pocket of the implant is created this allows the skin to slide up-and-down back-and-forth after removing the implant, the skin and the fat layer does not always anatomically line up, potentially leaving the buttocks sagging.
The problem for skin issues is greater when large implants are used and specifically when implants are placed gluteus muscle.
Follow up with the surgeon who did your augmentation.
