All people have facial symmetry. Even substantial asymmetry is aesthetically acceptable because the human brain is accustomed to seeing all people with a symmetrical faces. During embryological development, the two sides of the face develop independently from each other, and eventually fuse in the midline. Computer generated pictures of perfectly symmetrical faces have an odd unfamiliar appearance to them. I wouldn’t do anything regarding facial asymmetry. Most of it is based on bone structureand addressing that requires highly invasive surgery that’s not indicated. Your nose deviation is a different issue. It looks like you’ve had a nasal fracture. And addressing that requires highly invasive surgery that’s not indicated. Your nose deviation is a different issue. It looks like you’ve had an nasal fracture. If that’s the case, you may want to consider a rhinoplasty getting your nose straightened out. I suggest having a few consultations with plastic surgeons in your community who have extensive experience with rhinoplasty surgery. I don’t recommend surgery for your facial asymmetry. If you really want to go down that road, then consult with cranial facial surgeons in your community. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
