Thank you for your question dear. Local anesthesia is not recommend to this procedure, for any plastic procedure with more than 1 hour surgery time, I understand your concerns about the general anesthesia but your safety is always first, local anesthesia can be a risk for this type of procedure.

You could probably have the gluteal implants removed using local anesthesia.
Breast implant revisions or capsule work is almost always done using general anesthesia.
Gluteal implants are much more complex with high failure and complication rates like your case is demonstrating.
Most plastic surgeons do not offer gluteal implants for good reason.
Look for providers who specialize in the procedure. The implants should be placed intramuscularly. Revisions or secondary surgery is more difficult and complex than primary procedures.
