Thank you for your time in advance, doctors! Are good-quality silicone gel gluteal implants able to withstand the impact of really hard spanking in the case of intramuscular placement? Would placing the implant a bit deeper be a more safe option? If the implant is placed deeper, does it diminish the projection effect of the implant?
Answer: Gluteal implants The majority of plastic surgeons in the United States do not offer gluteal implants. If you look at the most plastic surgeons websites and a list of procedures offered you will see almost every comment that describe procedure listed with the exception of gluteal implants. You may want to ask yourself why plastic surgeons would not offer gluteal augmentation with implants since gluteal augmentation is one of the most popular procedures performed. The reason is that gluteal implants unfortunately has a higher complication rate and very high rate of secondary undesirable outcomes. It can be done successfully but it requires a surgeon who knows exactly how to do the procedure and limiting the size of the implant to one that will minimize the chance of complications. Consistent high-quality outcomes seems to require intramuscular placement of implants that can clearly fit within the anatomic constraints of the gluteus muscle. If the implant is not placed inside the gluteus muscle or the implant is larger than what can anatomically fit things tend to go wrong either immediately after surgery or as a long-term consequence. Once healed successfully with a good aesthetic outcome there is nothing you can do to damage the implant. unlike breast implants it’s better to not remove gluteal implants in the future though lots of people do on a regular basis because they are unhappy with the results. Removing gluteal implants especially if they were placed above the gluteus muscle can cause disfigurement from the explantation of the implant. If you’re seriously considering gluteal implants you will need to find one of the handful of surgeons in the country who truly specialize and have mastered this procedure. It’s a pretty small group of individuals but if you’re going to do the procedure it should be done by one of those doctors. some of them often respond to questions regarding gluteal implants on this forum.
